He and his wife were present at the district court sessions in Ramsele. They were accused of having declared that the vicar Mr. Elias in 1635 has shown a provoking life and made a bad example for the congregation. The wife Sigrid said that Mr. Elias has taken the daughter of an honest man and made a whore of the girl. Ingel Eriksson and his wife could not in court prove the accusations. They confessed that they had spread an incorrect rumor and they were fined 40 marks. According to Krånglin he was born in Nyland as son of Per Eriksson and brother to Johan Persson in Ovanmo and Israel Persson in Tynnerås. Olof sold in 1642 together with Johan Persson in Ovanmo (X:297, ID 808), Olof Ingelsson in Sel and Israel Persson in Tynnerås land to the Finns Per Månsson and Zackris Larsson (X:17, ID 528) He seems to have lived 1662 and he married a woman who's sister daughter worked in their home. This Göran is a Finn and he comes from Russön. He has already in 1667 at the county council asked for permission to take up a new farm 3 mil (18 miles) from Tåsjö on the common land owned by the Crown. It is noted in the minutes that a Lapp is now living there with small reasons. In the 1680 years register of land is noted that Jöran Andersson in Västertåsjö has 3 seland (1 seland = about 3500 squaremetres). Göran married Elisabet Nilsdotter, XI:946. A number of persons have contributed and the results are published on Internet in Rötter, Fjällsjö 2000-2001 As a summary of de many sources which have been studied one can note. Jon was born about 1612. He was registered in the military lists from 1631. But he got soldier already in 1628, when he was 16 years old. He took part in the battles at Bretienfeld and Lützen. His brother Mårten substituted for Jon the years 1641-1642. Karin Persdotter, the first wife of Jon, came according to the judgment book 1684 and 1687 from Ön in the parish of Fjällsjö. They married about 1641 and lived with the parents in law to Jon during the years 1642-1645. Per Olofsson was the father in law. He died in 1644, probably in the massacre in Mörsil when hundreds of soldiers were killed by the Danish-Norwegian army. Jon got a big farm when he married Karin. With this farm he could get out the farm in Jansjö without debt. In 1646 Jon then got a paper from the county governor that he could take over his parents home in Jansjö. Karin Persdotter died about 1657. Jon Olofsson was still registered in the military list in 1657. He was then corporal. But before the company left Sweden he hired another man to take his place. It was probably because of the dead of his wife. Jons second wife was an Abrahamsdotter from Mo in the parish of Junsele. They had a son called Abraham. She died about 1660/61. When the second wife died Jon gave up his farm. Everything remaining belonged namely to his children as an inheritance after their mother. The son Olof Jonsson (X:479; ID 990) got farmer. He was then only 15-16 years old. Jon lived in a cottage on the garden. Between 1661 and 1666 there was a witch-trial with the center in Ön/Näset in Fjällsjö. Here are mentioned Jon Olofsson – Krånge – Nyland and Elias Sjulsson in Nyland. Jon Olofsson from Nyland is also called to help in deciding the borders between different farmers on Vangmyran in Fjällsjö. Probably Jon Olofsson in Jansjö and the one in Nyland is the same person. Jon Olofsson is married a third time in 1664. He then byes the farm in Nyland, in the parish of Ramsele. The wife was Anna Christersdotter, who was born in Holme, Ramsele. Jon Olofsson received by will the farm of his father in law on condition that he supported his parents in law as long as they lived. Jon and Anna had a daughter Ella Jonsdotter. Jon died probably about 1693. The son Nils then used the farm until 1700 when he died. About 1641 Jon married Karin Persdotter, XI:958. They had the following children:
