At the district court sessions on the 12th of February in 1677 it was decided that Kristern Eriksson and his son in Nordantjäl had to pay 7 daler to Olof Jonsson in Nyland before the Thursday ahead of the mid-Lent Sunday. If they did not pay Olof Jonsson was allowed from next year to take over and use the farm of Kristern Eriksson in Nordantjäl. Kristern was registered in Nordantjäl the years 1652-1656 and he died in the parish of Fjällsjö in 1695. Olof Jonsson bought in 1679 another farm in Nordantjäl, 4 3/4 seland (1 sel = about 3500 square metres), from Israel Helgesson. The total farm of Olof Jonsson was now 6 sels. She claims that she is more native to get the land as she has been married with a son to Pehr Israelsson in Mo, with the name Israel Persson. She has with him got a son, Pehr Israelsson, who was boatswain and died on the 3rd of September 1714. 890 Oluff Larsson, X:379. Born in 1655 in Guxås, Helgum. Oluff died on 2 Dec 1727 in Ås, Helgum. (Father 1780; Mother 1781) Go to the descendant chart Oluff Larsson was in 1675 soldier in the company of Johan Aminoff. He was also a businessman of great proportions. He bought and sold, lent money and pledged farms. In 1694 he and Olof Persson were accused of buying lands. They had many times travelled to Stockholm with full loads of birds and other game. After he had bought the last part of the land of the village, 3 3/4 sel (1 sel = about 3500 square metres), his oldest son Lars was noted as owner of this land. He lived there until the year 1710, when he moved to Mellangransjö nr 1. This farm had come in Olof Larssons hands because the innkeeper Påhl Jonsson had lent money, which should be used in paying his remaining expenses to the Crown. Påhl Jonsson had himself grown up in the village of Ås, as stepson to Lars Olofsson. When Oluff Larsson died his farm was divided between two of his sons, namely Olof and Peder. According to the Judgement Book 1723, p 9 Per and Olof agreed to divide the fathers farm of 20 sel, as long as the parents lived, so that Per got 8 sel and the western oldhouse and Olof got 12 sel and the eastern house.
