Swän Nilsson was as his son Nils Eriksson a sixman. This was a commission of trust within the church. He should supervise the church discipline. He was also member of the parish court and should check up the reports of the churchwardens.

The district police superintendent Olof Klingberg caused at the autumn district court sessions in 1748 a summons to be issued against 28 farmers from Ström, and among them also Swän Nilsson from Näset. They were accused of having burnt burn-beaten land without any permission. All the farmers admitted that they had burnt woods. Swän Nilsson said the he had burnt unusable wood so that he could saw 2,5 kappar (1 kappe = 4,48 litres) corn. The farmers declared in a common letter that they had increased the area for "mulbete", which is pasture in the forests for cattle. They had used the commonly owned forests and not the common land belonging to the Crown or forests with good trees. They had only cut down spruces, which could have been used as firewood or for building fences. Each of the accused farmers was sentenced to pay 10 dalers.

The district police superintendent Olof Klingberg caused at the autumn district court sessions in 1751 a summons to be issued against some of the farmers in Ström. They had delivered incomplete information last year at the registration for census purposes. A special war tax should be paid for all persons between 15 and 63 years. Sven Nilsson from Näset had not registered his daughter who was born on the 20th of March 1734. He could not deny that she was 15 years old. But he said that she was very small and poor in health. Per was, however, sentenced to pay 10 dlr smt, of which half should go to the poor in Ström and half to the district police superintendent.

The farm Näset had no own chalets. The cause of this was probably that the forests belonging to the farm was situated on the other side of Ströms Vattudal and it was difficult to transport the cattle over the sound. Anna Mårtensdotter, who was the widow of Swän Nilsson, came on the 26th of March in 1754 to an agreement with Mats Isaksson in Bredgård. She was allowed to build a chalet on Bregårdsbränna and also to use the "mulbete", which is pasture in the forests for cattle. For this she had to pay 24 daler copper coins yearly to Mats Isaksson.

In 1763 Jöns Mårtensson leaved the farm to the son Mårten. He asked the district court for a suitable place on which he could build a crofter's cottage for his dragoon. None of those who took part in the inspection had any objection against that the cottage was built on Hemnäset.

In 1795 there was an inspection and valuation of the farm. On the farm they had one farmhouse with two great cottages, entrance hall and chamber, one cottage with drawing room, guest-room and an attic, which could be used as store of clothes and corn, three barns for corn, two paved basements, four common lodging houses, one small porter house, smithy, one turning-lathe house, cow-house, two stables, house for circular saw, two houses for feedstuff, woodshed, bath cottage and a boat-house. All houses were in very good condition. It was therefore a well-supplied farm that Jöns could take over. From the inspection one can also find that the arable land was well managed. When half the area lies fallow one gets two tunnor (1 tunna = 147 litres). Often they sow on 2/3 of the fields. On the farm they can have 2 horses, 12 cows and about 30 goats and sheep To the farm belongs two mountain pastures situated 3 and 1 1/2 miles from the farm. Fishing gives some years enough haul for the household. But some years the haul is insufficiently. The farm is estimated to have a value of 200 Rdr or 600 Plåtar.

After the death of Karin Göransdotter in 1783 Mårten remarried to Anna Olofsdotter, born 1725 and death 1794. Anna Olofsdotter had earlier been married to the dragoon Hans Wallman in Tullingsås. He died the year 1782.

The farm was estimated the value of 16 rdr 16 sk species. At the distribution of the estate in 1784 the inheritance was shared between the brothers Sven (ID 40) and Mårten.

Erik Ersson, born 1710, moved from Leding in Björna to Mjösjö during the period when they spoke Finnish there. He married Margareta Månsdotter, born 1715, from Leding. She was a daughter of Måns Nilsson and his wife Lisa Nilsdotter according to the register of death in Nordmaling. But according to the register of born in Själevad she was the daughter of Måns Clementsson from the village Gide in Björna. This seems to be true, as Måns Nilsson is not found in Leding.

Erik Ersson was son to Erik Nilsson in Hwalmsjö, which seems to be identical with Hvalvsjö. The name of this village is now Mattarbodum.

Erik Ersson was called "a calm and silent man". He lived in Mjösjö the year 1752-64. He died the last year. The widow lived to 1789. She moved between her children in Mjösjö, Bredvik, Kyrkovallen and Klöse. She died in Klöse.

It was the farm of Pål Danielsson that Erik Ersson took over in 1752, when Pål moved to Bredträsk to build up a new settlement.

Erik Ersson has, according to Tyko Lundkvist the following eight children:

• One daughter who married Erik Jonsson, born 1726. He built up the farm Nässund in 1762. The same year he had moved from Movattnet, where he was the son of the farmer Jonas Ersson.

• The daughter Märta Ersdotter, born 1747, who married Lars Jonsson, born 1735. Also he was son of the farmer from Movattnet. Märta died 1834 in Armsjön. She was then remarried.

• The son Olof Ersson, born 1751. He got drowned 1770 on the autumn ice.

• The son Nils Ersson, born 1758. He was hand man in Levar. But he moved to Enköping in 1777.

• The son Anders Ersson-Norrström, born 1759. He was charcoal-burner and settler in Storfall. He is ancestor of the big family Norrström, which also has lived in Hallen and Brattsbacka.

• The daughter Margareta Ersdotter, born 1766. She married the firewatcher Matts Ersson-Nyström, born 1743. He came from Nederkalix and lived from 1787 in Klöse.

• The son Johan Ersson, born 1754. He was farmer in Bredträsk and had 12 children.

• The son Erik Ersson born 1741. He married a stepdaughter to the settler Olof Lundquist at Karlbäck. They moved to Holmsjö above Bredträsk.

Thord Bylund mentions the three children below:

Erik married Margareta Månsdotter, VII:22.

They had the following children:
i. Erik (1741-1798)
ii. Marta (1747-1834)
42 iii. Johan, VI:11 (1754-1803)
