Sources: Strömsboken, Bonäset 1 (Father 146; Mother 147) Go to the descendant chart The farm hand Olof Olofsson from Öhn got – at the State demesne in Frösön - on the 18th of September in 1758 permission to build a farm at Bonäset south of the village Espnes. The farmers in Espnes had given their consent as the farm could be built without prejudice to the neighbours. Olof got exemption from taxes during 14 years. At the 1770 years spring district court sessions Olof Olofsson reported that he in spite of a hard work could not pay taxes. He therefore asked for a prolongation of the years of exemption from taxes. An inspection showed that the ground was full of stones. Olof had already transported away about 2300 loaded carts with stone. The hay-harvest was about 2-3 loaded carts. During normal years he could have 1 horse, 5 cows and 3 heifers. But then he had to get half the harvest from the forests. The court recommended 24 years of exemption from taxes. At a drawing-up of the boundaries between the areas of the Government and that of private grounds in the years 1782-86 they found that Olof now, with contributions of feedstuff from the forests, could have 1 horse, 1 colt, 8 cows, 4 heifers and 20 goats and sheaf. The farm had to pay tax from the year 1789. On 4 Nov 1759 when Olof was 29, he married Elin Göransdotter, VII:26. They had the following children:
