Benedicta was daughter of Sven Persson. She was sister of Sven Svensson (ID 20) and sister-in-law of Brita-Lisa Jeansdotter (ID 21). Benedicta was married to the farmer Eric Svensson in Öhn. When he died Benedicta met with difficulties to support herself and her eight children (born 1822, 24, 26, 29, 30, 32, 35 and 37). The eldest children had already moved from their home and served at different places. But the young ones lived at home with the mother.

The county sheriff Rosenberg, who in 1839 took over the farm of Eric Svensson, caused at the 1846 autumn district court sessions a summons to be issued against Benedicta. He said that she in June, when he and all his domestic servants worked on the grounds, had went into his locked house and taken one spann (1 spann = 73,5 litres) of barley, two kappar (1 kappe = 4,6 litres) of salt and also some bread and rye.

Benedicta confessed the thefts and said the she was 55 years old, widow after Erik Svensson and that she now lived as crofter in the village of Öhn. She had a small arable land and could then have 1 cow and a few goats and sheep. She had before this theft manifested an honest living. But when she and her children suffered from a serious hunger she went into the locked house of Rosenberg through a nailed-up window and took 1/2 spann of barley, 1 kappe salt, 120 cakes of bread and 25 "Brander-Hamp". Earlier she had taken 2 1/2 kappar barley, one kanna (1 kanna = 2,6 litres) salt and one kappe rye. She had taken the opportunity while the Rosenberg family was on the fields. She had never before stolen anything, neither at Rosenberg nor at any other person. The stolen things were estimated to have a value of 5 Rdl 12 Sk Bco. Benedicta was sentenced to 13 days imprisonment and during these days to get only bred and water. Afterwards she should one Sunday be seated at a stool at the entrance door to the church. This form of punishment, called "church duty" was repealed in the year 1855.

In 1780 Sven married Anna Nilsdotter, VI:10.

They had the following children:
i. Pehr (1781-1865)

Anders Mårtensson took over the farm in the year 1793.

The brother dragoon Nills Strömlin(d) settled down on a "bodelstorp" (a crofter's holding with land around entirely owned by the user) under the farm. This crofter's holding was situated on Hemnäset. The crofter was allowed to use 4 mälingar (1 mäling = 385 square metres) as arable land and part of the outlying land so that he could have 3-4 cattle. The dragoon Strömlin(d) died in December 1808 on the hospital of the western army.
According to the agreement with the farmer he had to buy back the crofter's holding when the crofter had died. But the farmer and the widow of Nills – Maren Johansdotter 40 years old with six small children – came to a new agreement that they could stay in the crofter's holding and also use 40 loaded carts with feed every year. Maren had, however, to do 10 day-works for this; 3 in springtime, 5 during the mowing season and 2 during the autumn.

An agreement between the farmers on Öhn, which illustrates the circumstances of crofters and soldiers, is shown in the following minutes from the 1799 spring district court sessions where it gained legal force.
"The undersigned farmers from Öhn have come to the following agreement. None crofter or soldier is allowed to fish in the fishing-waters which far and near belong to the farmers on Öhn, if not all farmers have agreed to this. They are neither allowed to hunt in the forests or cause some damages to the forests. They may only take firewood and use forest for "mulbete", which is pasture in the forests for cattle. Every crofter or soldier who breaks this agreement is fined 5 riksdaler. If anyone of the farmers promises a crofter or soldier to break the agreement the farmer also is fined 5 riksdaler. This agreement is signed on Öhn on the 11th of February 1799. Olof Mårtensson, Jöns Mårtensson, Swen Ersson SES, Ingel Sakrisson (bom = owner's mark), Jöns Jönsson (bom), Erik Jönsson (bom), Anders Mårtensson."
