(Father 5536)

In the year 1640 the widow Kerstin Pedersdotter in Agnäs sold fields of corn for 37 dlr kmt to the Finn Pål Pålsson (born about 1590) from Viksjö Finnmark. He arrived with his wife and adult children to Agnäs about 1638.
The old Pål Pålsson´s wife died in 1645.
The lay assessors confirmed in 1647 (DB 1647 6/12 § 7) that Pål Pålsson during 8 years has paid taxes for 15 seland (1 sel = about 3500 square metres) and during 3 years for 12 seland. At the same district-court sessions Pål decides to pay to his neighbour Per Mattsson 60 dlr kmt for the land in Agnäs that he has used during 22 years but never paid any taxes for. Per Mattsson has to leave his farm and try to find another place of residence.
It is possible that Pål Pålsson is the son of Påål Finn, who is mentioned in Gudmundrå 1595 and in Viksjö 1596.
